THAT makes sense. I feel like Kenma ....well he's got no comparison for Kuroo because no one comes close to being who and what he is to him. But much like what you said on that note and others, the concept of Change is terrifying for people who already hold dear what they have. So I can see them both kind of just...always getting really close to crossing a line in my favorite tropey ways and probably some non tropey ways (but uh what are they 8D) uh and just, i mean ideally, in a world where they get what they want,, finally crossing said line for real. ooohh i do like that angle for kuroo -- re attempting to have feelings for others, esp bokuto bc god if i don't love some good bokuroo even if it's not endgame or even ESP if it's not yum. hi sorry i am like this. fjsdklfesdjk
kuroo is very specific for kenma too and i think that's one of the things i love about them. this sort of...honestly very soulmate like bond but it's framed in most ways by the 'realities' of the world. i think also because they do both harbor feelings in various levels of acknowledgement, it's not something they would've discussed even about 'others'. like if kuroo dated someone ever kenma would just be like o that's nice for u. meanwhile. so jealous. but also telling himself he's not. but also probably being weirdly aloof with kuroo. but also saying he's not. lmfdssdjlfdsjfl ......a cat basically.
